Where is Mizoram?

Mizoram lies in the southernmost outpost of North Eastern India, the land of the Blue Mountains. Manipur, Assam and Tripura bind the northern end of this little island of tranquility with neighboring countries Myanmar and Bangladesh nestling most of the state between them.

Mizoram being the most peaceful state in India is the ideal tourist destination.

Landline Telephone: Mizoram has good connection to both landline services across the towns.

Mobile telephone: Roaming agreements exist with most international mobile phone companies. Coverage is limited to major towns but is increasing all the time.

Internet: The Internet can be reliably accessed from an increasing number of hotels and from Internet cafés across the state, many now with Wi-Fi and 3G.

Media: The state's has many local cable channel mostly in Mizo dialect. Apart from these News and entertainment shows are especially popular and a number of 24-hour news channels operate. You can have access to CNN, BBC, Australian TV, etc and other Indian English News Channels line CNN-IBN, NDTV, etc. Newspaper circulation has risen, thanks to a growing middle class, as has the number of Internet users. Most newspapers are in local language but papers like The Hindu, The Times of India, Hindustan Times, Indian Express, The Telegraph are available.
